How do I compress a GIF without losing quality?
Start with "Lighter": it reduces colors and repeated pixels between frames but keeps the dimensions, which is usually invisible. Only if you need a strict limit (like 1 MB for email) does it also scale the GIF down.
How do I get a GIF under 10 MB for Discord?
Choose "Under 10 MB" and press Compress GIF. Discord's free upload limit is 10 MB; the tool keeps trying lighter settings until the GIF fits.
What size should a GIF be for email?
Aim for under 1 MB so it loads fast in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail. The "Under 1 MB" preset is made for that.
